She worked in the inner-cities of Compton, Los Angeles to Harlem, New York and came back to Canada approximately 8 years ago. She continued developing her skills at the School of Foundational Learning as an inclusion coach and eventually made her way to Ambrose University to work as a student teacher practicum advisor.
Regardless of the title Tammy has held in education, her heart has always been in front of students and no matter where she has worked she has always maintained a teaching practice in front of students. She currently works with Mount Royal University in the English upgrading program in addition to building her company. The essence of her teaching practice can be found in several videos below, her proudest, the most recent Ted Talk completed with Bow Valley College, which can be viewed on the home page.
When we registered with our homeschool coordinator, we were told that our learning plan set the bar high and is an example for other families to follow. Our kids are enjoying their learning experience, and with so much individualized attention, are excelling in their subjects beyond what they were getting in their traditional classes. They are relaxed, rested, and more eager to learn and complete their work. I would recommend Mobile Teacher to anyone who needs to take the homeschooling pressure off!”
